Minister for Business launches Business Liaison Unit to assist startups

A Business Liaison Unit at the Ministry for Business has been launched as a One Stop Shop for business startups. It will assist with the formalities of setting up a new business making it hassle free for the individual. The Team will help with all the documents required and will liaise with the relevant Government Departments to ensure everything is processed in a timely manner.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the One Stop Shop will be launched in two phases.

The first phase will launch on Monday with consultations via email on businessonestopshop@gibraltar.gov.gi.

The second phase will launch once COVID-19 restrictions have been relaxed, with an appointment service. This will do away with the need for individuals to visit all the different government departments to obtain the relevant documents.

Minister for Business, Vijay Daryanani, said he was delighted to announce the launch after representations were made by the private sector on the need to expedite the setting up of a business for our entrepreneurs.
